1. Who We Are

Crypto Academy Tuition ("we", "us", "our") is based at Adelphi Mill, Grimshaw Lane, Bollington, Cheshire, SK10 5JB, United Kingdom. We provide private education about Bitcoin and digital assets to individuals, families, professionals and groups.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or book a session with us, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and in line with UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you fill in our contact or booking form. This may include:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Details of the session type and format you're interested in
  • Any message or additional information you choose to share with us

If you opt in to our newsletter, The Insider, we will also hold your email address for that specific purpose.

We do not knowingly collect any special category data (such as health, religious or political information) and we ask that you do not include this in any message you send us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and arrange your free session
  • Deliver the tuition service you've booked
  • Send you our newsletter, if you've opted in
  • Improve our website and the sessions we offer
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Our Legal Basis For Processing

We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

  • Consent — for sending you our newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time
  • Contract — to respond to your enquiry and provide the tuition service you've requested
  • Legitimate interests — to improve our services and keep appropriate records of client communications

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our business, such as:

  • Website hosting and form-processing providers (e.g. Webflow)
  • Email delivery services, if you've subscribed to our newsletter

These providers only process your information on our instructions and are required to keep it secure. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

A note on our MEXC partnership: Crypto Academy Tuition is an official partner of the MEXC exchange. If you choose to use our referral code, MEXC's own privacy policy will apply to any information you provide directly to them. We do not receive or store any personal data from MEXC as a result of you using our referral code.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services and meet any legal or accounting obligations, typically no longer than 24 months from your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Newsletter subscriber information is kept until you unsubscribe.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Ask us to delete your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our newsletter
  • Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have not handled your information properly

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

8. Cookies

Our website may use essential cookies required for the site to function correctly. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information you share with us against loss, misuse or unauthorised access. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
